OUR STORY

Modern Design with Ancient Meaning

About Keith Jack

Mist rises from a quiet West Coast trail as Keith Jack pauses beneath towering cedar trees, camera in hand, listening to the distant rush of a river carving its way through stone. Surrounded by ancient forests, ocean air and the quiet movement of wildlife, his next jewelry design often begins to take shape.

If you ask Keith where his ideas come from, do not expect him to point to a drawing board or computer. He will probably suggest joining him for a hike.

Inspired by the West Coast

Keith calls British Columbia’s spectacular West Coast home. Here, mountains meet ancient forests, rivers flow into the Pacific Ocean and nature is never far away. Whether he is hiking a mountain trail, walking beside a rushing river, exploring a quiet lake or watching the tide roll in, the natural world is constantly offering new ideas. Bears, raccoons, otters, beavers, bald eagles, kingfishers and the hummingbirds that visit his garden are part of everyday life. They are more than wildlife. They are neighbors, companions and often the beginning of a new design.

Keith’s two favorite pastimes are designing jewelry and hiking. One fuels the other. Some of his best ideas arrive not while sitting at a workbench, but while walking through the forest with a camera in hand. Inspiration might come from sunlight filtering through the trees, the movement of water over stone or a weathered piece of driftwood sculpted by the ocean.

Scottish Heritage, Canadian Inspiration

Keith grew up in Scotland, where his love of Celtic heritage, symbolism and storytelling first took root. Nineteen years ago, he moved to Canada. From the moment he arrived on the West Coast, he knew he had found another home. Several years later, he proudly became a Canadian citizen while continuing to cherish his Scottish roots.

Scotland gave Keith his heritage. Canada gave him the landscape that continually inspires his work. Together, they have shaped the artist and jewelry designer he is today.

Keith’s mother has always been one of his greatest inspirations. Her kindness, strength and encouragement helped shape the person he became. Creatively, he has long admired David Bowie, whose fearless originality demonstrated that meaningful art comes from pushing beyond the familiar.

Keith believes every artist should occasionally feel a little out of their depth. Growth happens when we venture into unfamiliar territory. Every new Keith Jack collection is an opportunity to challenge himself, explore fresh ideas and create something he has never created before.

The Art of the Process

Each Keith Jack collection begins with something meaningful.

It might be a hidden mountain loch, an ancient Norse coin, a Celtic legend or a dragonfly skimming across a pond. These moments and discoveries are translated into sketches before becoming finished pieces of jewelry.

Keith designs every piece with a complete 360-degree view in mind. He carefully considers its form, weight, movement and feel, ensuring the jewelry is as comfortable and durable as it is beautiful.

His designs are not defined exclusively as being for men or women. They are created for anyone who connects with their symbolism, craftsmanship and story.

Partnerships

Over the years, Keith has developed close partnerships and personal relationships with expert craftspeople in Thailand and Bali.

Working together, these highly skilled artisans transform Keith’s original designs into beautifully finished pieces using textured precious metals and richly colored gemstones.

Keith Jack Jewelry is crafted primarily in sterling silver, accented with 10K or 18K solid yellow and rose gold, vermeil or bronze. Many designs can also be specially made in 10K, 14K or 18k gold.

Great care is taken to ensure every piece is comfortable, durable and meticulously hand-finished to an exceptional standard.

Celtic symbolism is thoughtfully woven into modern, distinctive designs, creating jewelry that feels both meaningful and timeless.

Jewelry That Carries a Story

For Keith, designing jewelry has become far more than a career. After more than 30 years, it has become his life’s purpose.

Nothing gives him greater pleasure than meeting someone wearing one of his designs and hearing the story behind it. Perhaps it was a gift from someone special, a reminder of a meaningful place, a celebration of a new beginning or a treasured keepsake passed from one generation to the next.

Keith believes jewelry becomes truly beautiful when it carries a story, because stories are what connect us all. Every piece of Keith Jack jewelry reflects his journey. Celtic tradition, Scottish heritage, the natural beauty of Canada’s West Coast and thoughtful craftsmanship come together in designs created to be worn, treasured and remembered.

“Jewelry should be more than something beautiful to wear. It should remind you of who you are, where you’ve been, and the people and moments that matter most.”
